One definition of Tide is “a surging movement of a group.” It is our desire to be a group moving under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, becoming one as we deepen our relationship with our savior Jesus.
TIDE’s Mission Statement is a variation of the DPC Statement:
Loving God. Loving Others. Serving your World.
This is not only a mission statement but describes our process as well. We want all students of DPC and their friends to join us for worship each week and learn how to Love God well. After that relationship with God is established we want students to grow closer together and in a deeper relationship with God by joining us for Life Groups, where they will focus on Loving Others. Out of those Life Groups, students will learn about and develop ways to get involved in Serving Their World. For some that means service in the church, or for church members. For others that means going on mission trips or serving in the community.
We are saved only by grace through faith in Jesus Christ for God’s glory (Eph 2:8-10).
The Bible is God’s Word and useful (2 Tim. 3:16-17).
We are servants of God presenting the Gospel to all people (Matt 28:18-20)
We are commanded to equip people to become devoted disciples of Jesus Christ.
The church is Christ’s body and serves God this world.
Loving God is praising Him and living in obedience to His word.
The Holy Spirit transforms lives.
God hears and answers us when we pray.
God calls us to daily living out His truth.
Worship of all ages is essential.
