Tide students and parents, we have some exciting news! Matt Merritt will be serving as our new part-time youth ministry coordinator. In this new role, Matt will be supporting both the middle and high school programs. Matt was a DPC kid that has grown into a faithful Christian man and is a welcome addition to our family”
Here’s a message from Matt:
“Hello, I’m Matthew Merritt. I have grown up at DPC. It has been my home church for as long as I can remember. It almost feels more like home than my house, which is because of the youth ministry. I have always wanted to give the youth, in and out of the church, the same experiences that I had that have made me who I am today. I’ve spent two of my summers with the organization YouthWorks. My team and I hosted short term mission trips for high schoolers. Sometimes it takes pouring into youth that God pours into you. I have learned so much with being around youth about Gods grace and love. I feel a calling to be with youth and help guide them in their faith. I am blessed to be given such a great opportunity to be apart of this church’s youth ministry. I plan to on giving all that I can to the students and in turn see the love of God in them.”
A Message for the 2017 Confirmation Class:
Dardenne Presbyterian Church is committed to walking alongside your family, and is excited about offering a confirmation class for your students where they will learn more about what it means to be a Christ follower and a member of Dardenne Presbyterian Church.
This year’s confirmation classes for students, in 8th grade and above, will begin January 2017 and run weekly through spring 2017. This will align better with the church’s calendar, and will prevent us from having to take an extended break over Christmas.
The pastors, elders, and volunteers value this opportunity to invest in the next generation and appreciate your flexibility.
If you have any questions about this change or how this might affect your student, please do not hesitate to reach out to one of the church’s pastors. You can contact Andrew Kasberg

Parent Volunteers Needed
We are looking for someone to volunteer to work the Cove (Snack Bar) Wednesday nights from 5:45-7:45. You would set out the snacks, sell them to the kids, clean up the snacks and wipe down the counter top. Prices of items are $.25, $.50, $.75, $1.00, and $1.50 so no complicated change or tax figuring is needed. If two or more people wanted to trade off weeks, that would work as well. I have created a signup genius account if you would like to sign up for a particulate week. Please sign up using the link below. Thanks!
We are hoping to have something up and running by Oct. We are starting to have some adults express interest in getting things going. Don’t go anywhere! Stay tuned!

Middle School Worship
Tide Middle School is Tonight! The girls will be doing some volunteering with the Backpack Ministry during our time together, while the boys generate questions in preparation for our special guest next week!
DPC dinner is going on tonight! It’s only $3.00 for tweens/teens to eat dinner in the CLC starting at 5:00. We would love for a group of Tide students to meet up, claim a few tables and enjoy dinner together before Tide Worship at 6 p.m. Tide Worship continues from 6-8 p.m. up in the loft.
We are on the last week (week 4) of our series “Why Jesus?” Tonight’s topic: Is Jesus the Only Way to Heaven? How about being a good person? Or being nice to everyone? What about giving away lots of money? Or volunteering your time? What’s the golden ticket to heaven? See you tonight!
